ISU 48 Hour Film Festival All Shot On Film

The Iowa State’s Film Producers Club hosted the screening of their 48 Film Festival last week. A tradition that film enthusiasts have appreciated for many years. However, the barriers of entry have become larger and larger these last few years. Originally started with digital cameras, the ISU Film Producers decided this year’s contest should only be done using 50mm film. Bonus points will be awarded if your film is not just done with hand crank camera, but also completely silent. Although not officially apart of the rules, it also encouraged that participants films are avant-garde to the point where nobody can understand what is going on, it is also preferred to have at least one naked person in your film. Who will win the best film this year? Nobody knows. One thing that is for sure is that drug use will be a factor in the storyboarding process.
