Snow Spurs Student Government to Call For “Two More Weeks” Of Winter Break

At an emergency senate meeting last night Iowa State Student Government scrambled to formally recommend to administration to increase the length of the break due to safety concerns about the snowstorm across Iowa and Illinois. In order to make sure to not put pressure on students to drive when it may be unsafe, student government called for a two full week extension. “We understand that some classes may struggle to maintain their learning goals in the face of all of a sudden only have finals week left in the semester but we have to make sure student safety is our number one concern. I’m willing to give up on turning in a stupid Sociology project to make sure our students get home safe.” Said Chad Mentior, Senior Student Government senator. When asked what to do for classes which still have many of their assignments to do Mentior replied “Give us all A’s. I mean give them all As.”
